This mural was commissioned to conform to a slanted stairway wall. The couple had visited temples in southeast asia and wanted something reminiscent of the intricately carved crumbling ruins overgrown with tree roots and vegetation. Using their trip photos, I created the illusion that some of their plaster had cracked and fallen off, revealing another dimension...inner chambers, tree roots emerging from the wall, and fallen stones tumbling down the stairway.
