This mural was commissioned for a bedroom in Hawaii. The owner wanted a wall which would complement her Japanese kimono. I suggested bamboo as a theme to give both a Hawaiian and an Asian sensibility to the room. The bamboo stalks are painted on a warm yellow background. I added wainscoating of real bamboo. The wall is approximately 8 feet by 12 feet.
