The couple who commissioned this mural wanted a colorful autumn scene to enhance their living room "view", but beyond that stipulation gave me complete artistic freedom. I decided to frame the mural with a faux stone arch and spiral columns that mimic architectural details surrounding the fireplace on the opposite wall and also framing the windows of the house. I coordinated the colors in the mural with the ochre colored walls of the living room...repeating that color in the flagstone patio, the beach, and the autumn trees. This mural is approximately 4 feet high by 7 feet long.
